Forward Bends - $40
At the Northern Neck Family YMCA in Kilmarnock, April 10, 2022 - 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
To bend forward means to flex the spine, which happens every time you move your chest toward the fronts of your thighs (and visa versa). Forward bends create a stretch in the posterior (back) structures of the body from head to heels and, when done safely, bring a soothing quality to the nervous system, calming the mind and cooling the body. In this workshop we'll take turns demonstrating supine, standing and seated forward bends, learning which variations are optimal for you. RYT’s will receive one Yoga Alliance approved contact hour for Techniques, Training & Practice as well as one for Anatomy & Physiology.
