This strong athletic practice links breath and movement while building strength, flexibility, balance and mental focus. BREATHE & STRETCH (Level 1/All) - Susan
Mondays 1:00-2:00 pm (Northern Neck Family YMCA in Kilmarnock)

Modifications and enhancements are offered to help you find a deep stretch appropriate for your level of flexibility. The second and fourth Mondays of each month will focus on self-myofascial release.

FOCUS ON FORM (All) - Susan
6 Week Series: Fridays, January 10-February 14, 9:30-10:30 am

Optimize your alignment in this 6-week Hatha (i.e., nonflow) series designed for all levels. Each week will focus on a different pose family to help you safely progress your practice:

In each class, we’ll start with warmups specifically designed to prepare you for the poses we’ll be working on and end with cooldown poses and Savasana. There will be some overlap from week to week (e.g., some forward bends are neutral spine poses), which will make your learning that much more efficient and effective.
