What first brought you to yoga and how long have you been practicing?
Someone said I think you would like yoga. I tried it and liked it. I have been practicing for a while but not constantly.
What is/are your intentions for your practice?
To be more flexible and to increase balance and strength.
What is your favorite pose and why?
Forward bend. It feels so good to stretch all the back muscles.
What is your favorite class at InsideOut Yoga?
I take Align & Flow. I’m sure I would like the other classes but have not been able to take them.
How has the practice of yoga influenced your life?
It just makes me feel good to take yoga.
What advice would you have for a beginning yoga student?
It is a practice and everyone is in a different place.
What is your occupation?
I have had a number of part-time jobs from helping an interior designer to working in a health club.
What activities do you enjoy?
Tennis, mah jongg, bridge, gardening, working out, and volunteering.
What is your favorite thing about living in the Northern Neck or Middle Peninsula?
I’m so happy to live on the water. I did not realize how friendly everyone here was. That is a bonus.
Is there anything you want to add?
I love Susan’s classes. I think she is a great instructor and the Kekoka Yoga Retreat was special.
