Pink
The Ging introduced me to these pomegranate cosmos created by Ina Garten. Ging calls them “Pink” and they’re the best cosmos I’ve ever tasted.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups (16 ounces) good vodka
1 cup (8 ounces) orange liqueur such as Cointreau
1 cup (8 ounces) pomegranate juice (recommended: Pom Wonderful)
½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice (3 limes) Lime peel strips, to garnish
DIRECTIONS
Combine the vodka, orange liqueur, pomegranate juice, and lime juice in a pitcher and refrigerate until ready to use.
Pour the mixture into frozen martini glasses with a twist of lime peel and serve immediately.
From the Ging: I use Harlequin for Cointreau. Little cheaper, bigger punch. Sometimes I play with ratios as follows: 1-½ cups vodka, 1/3 cup orange liquor, juice of 3 limes and entire bottle of POM. Sometimes I'll use Citron. Really can't mess this up. 😊
If you’d like one lower in alcohol, try this version from Art’s friend, Corky:
1 cup Citron vodka
1-½ cups pomegranate juice
1/3 cup Cointreau or Harlequin
1/3 cup lime juice
