Sun Salutations are a microcosm of the asana practice as a whole in that they contain standing postures, forward bends, a backbend, a strength move and an inversion. When done skillfully, they can become hypnotically meditative, as you float from pose to pose to the rhythm of your breath. Learn or polish the poses and breath pattern that make up Surya Namaskar A (Sun Salutation A) as well as the transitions between the poses. As in all of these workshops, we’ll take turns demonstrating and practicing, learning how to incorporate modifications and variations that work best for your own body. RYT’s will receive one Yoga Alliance approved contact hour for Techniques, Training & Practice as well as one for Anatomy & Physiology. Cost is $35 and space is limited.
