An hour or two of focused attention can have a significant, even life-changing, impact on your regular yoga practice. These workshops, led by Susan Johnson, E-RYT 200, YACEP, and Ginger Houck, PT, will focus on optimal alignment for your own unique body in order to keep your practice fun, safe and sustainable for years to come. The Ginge, who has over 28 years of experience as a physical therapist, brings her knowledge of anatomy and therapeutics, while Susan brings the alignment and cuing expertise she's been developing for 10+ years. Pranayama, the fourth limb of Patanjali’s eight limbs of yoga, is often thought of as simple breathing techniques. But in yoga, prana is the life force itself – the energy that drives our lives and the life of the universe itself; yama means control. So, pranayama is actually the yogic science of gaining complete control over the energy of your body-mind complex. In this workshop, Wyatt will teach you three Pranayama techniques: ujjayi, bhastrikha, and a continuous cycling breath, then put them together in different rhythms and cycles to create a powerful, energy-generating practice that you can take home and use with asana and meditation, enhancing both. Join Amy & Jason for a fun, explorative, multi-level yoga class designed for sweethearts. This unique date night will allow you and your honey to relax and laugh together while nurturing your bodies and connection to one another. Practice communication, mutual respect, giving, and receiving. Class will incorporate partner assists in standing and seated poses and massage. Become more aware of your thoughts and how they affect the body in this 6-week Mindful Wellness series taught by Nutrition & Wellness Coach, Tara Haislip. Negative thought patterns can have a snowball effect on our well-being, and if we don’t learn to let them go, they can cause illness and disease.
