Spicy Sesame Linguine

I found this recipe on the back of a bag of Al Dente sesame linguine. Feel free to sub vegetables, tofu, or whatever you find tasty. It’s beyond easy and delicious.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 T. vegetable oil

  • 1 T. sesame oil

  • 1 lb. chicken breast, sliced

  • 4 green onions, sliced

  • ½ lb. bean sprouts

  • 12 oz Al Dente spicy sesame linguine or 16 oz. regular linguine

  • toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Sauce:

  • ½ c. chicken stock

  • 3 T. soy sauce

  • 1 T. sherry

  • 1 T. sugar

  • 1 T. cornstarch

  • ½ T. chili paste with garlic (or chili sauce with garlic)

  • 1 T. Hoisin sauce

  • 1 T. minced gingerroot

  • ½ t. salt

PREPARATION

Cook pasta according to package directions. Combine sauce ingredients in a medium bowl. Heat oils over med-high heat. Stir-fry chicken until it begins to lose raw color. Add green onions and bean sprouts. Add sauce. Add cooked pasta and stir until blended. Top with toasted sesame seeds, if desired. Serves 4.
