Seared Salmon with Herb Butter

A go-to recipe that's easy and delicious. Can be grilled of course too.

SALMON

  • 4 Salmon Fillets

  • 1 Tablespoon oil

  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Pat salmon dry and season generously with salt and pepper. Heat oil in nonstick pan until just smoking and sear salmon skin side up 3-4 min per side.

HERB BUTTER (Place a pat on each fillet after searing)

  • 5 Tablespoons Softened Unsalted Butter

  • 2 Tablespoons finely chopped basil (or other herb(s))

  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Mix together, place in plastic wrap, shape in a quarter size roll, refrigerate or freeze.
